Saluting 23 Faithful Suffragists

Here is the third in my Women and Adversity series: Saluting 23 Faithful Suffragists. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, ratified August 18, 1920, which gives women the right to vote.

Among the women featured in this ebook are modern suffragists:

  • Deb Boyce, Precinct Official
  • Luzelma Canales, Ph.D., Latina/Latino Advocate
  • Dolores Huerta, Founder and President of the Dolores Huerta Foundation
  • Susan Ware, Feminist Biographer and Historian

Others are names easily recognized:

  • Abigail Adams
  • Clara Barton
  • Helen Keller
  • Sojourner Truth

Some have been overlooked:

  • Matilda Joslyn Gage
  • Mabel Ping-Hua Lee, Ph.D.
  • Belva Ann Lockwood
  • Zitkála-Šá (Red Bird), aka Gertrude Simmons Bonnin

This third book follows the same format as my two previous books: Honoring 23 Black Women and Recognizing 23 Notable Mothers. The entries in all three books are brief sketches not biographies. They are meant to motivate readers to learn more about these women. Students may want to write a research paper on one of them, and teachers may recommend students get a copy to prompt them to learn more about these women. Book lovers can be fascinated by the achievements of these women.

All three books are available at amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, apple.books.com, kobo.com, and goodreads.com.
