Women and Adversity:

Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Rios

No surprise that Hillary Rodham Clinton decided to seek the Democratic presidential nomination. She organized, got on the road and headed for Iowa. Critics didn’t hesitate to point out the flaws in her campaign, but no one really expected Cheryl Rios to come out with her proclamation.

Rios, CEO of Go Ape Marketing in Dallas, said women aren’t fit for being president of the U.S. Several accounts are online about her views. At Huff Post Politics: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/15/ceo-women-shouldnt-be-president-cheryl-rios_n_7067564.html, she says she’ll move to Canada if Hillary becomes president. Rios cites hormones and refers to the Bible as reasons for statements.

Women have fought hard to achieve status in the workplace. Rios is undermining the achievements and the progress women have made.

We all have different talents, Hillary, along with many other women, are qualified and able to be POTUS. I will venture to say that most women, and most men, in the U.S. don’t want to be president. But those who do can spread their wings and broadcast their qualifications.

Let the voters decide.
